Thy Art . . . Is Murder
The land of Nod is a place of eternal wandering. Over the land presides many gods who have been long forgotten by the rest of the world. These gods, once perhaps of great prominence in the distant past, have faded into obscurity. Their only followers are the mortals who are the descendants of the heretics and exiles of whom were loyal, or foolish enough, to follow their gods into damnation. However, within Nod, legends have spread over time, telling of a lone man with extraordinary might who kills any god he encounters. A man so strong, so ruthless, that even the divine fall prey to him. Although given many epithets throughout the years, the people of Nod know him as the Godbreaker.
But before his legend grew, he was simply known as Cain. After killing his brother in a fit of rage, Cain was banished to the land of Nod by the deity his family worshipped. In Nod, Cain was subject to the cruelty and selfishness of the Gods, which led him to an undeniable conclusion – the Gods were wicked and irredeemable and thus needed to be destroyed. And so began his unending thirst for vengeance against the divine, slaughtering any deity he crossed paths with. But his wrath won’t stop at Nod. For once all the gods of Nod are vanquished, Cain plans to eliminate the rest of the gods across creation – including the very one that banished him all those years ago . . .
